Based in Barnard Castle, County Durham
We are looking for a part-time Environmental Archaeologist to join our small post-excavation team in Barnard Castle.
The role available will mainly comprise processing of bulk environmental samples from archaeological sites, including flotation and sorting of heavy fractions/residues. Ideally, we'd like to appoint someone with a real passion for environmental archaeology who would like to train with us to become a specialist in archaeobotany (specifically charred plant remains). Applications for the role at trainee level are welcomed; full training can be provided.
A driver's licence and access to a vehicle that is insured for work use would be beneficial, but is not a requirement.
If you have any questions or would like to chat informally about the role, you can contact us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Applications should be via email to email@example.com and should comprise a CV and covering letter.
Deadline for applications: 5pm BST, Friday 8th July 2022
